The PMAG 30 AR 300 B GEN M3 is a specially designed magazine intended for rifles chambered in 300 Blackout/300 HAM'R. Previously, 300 BLK and 300 HAM'R shooters had to rely on magazines designed for different cartridges, which limited their performance and compatibility. Despite 300 BLK's ability to use 5.56x45mm parts, using standard magazines for this purpose involved compromises. Given the wide range of projectile weights and profiles in 300 BLK, these compromises could lead to reduced overall reliability. Consequently, the introduction of a dedicated 300 BLK magazine was a logical step in expanding the PMAG line.
Moreover, apart from the enhanced performance offered by this dedicated magazine, the PMAG 30 AR 300 B also provides a safer means of feeding your 300 BLK or 300 HAM'R rifle. When using 5.56x45mm magazines, there is a risk of chambering and firing a 300 BLK round in a 5.56x45mm rifle, which could result in catastrophic consequences. This risk demands careful ammunition management by the shooter. The PMAG 30 AR 300 B distinguishes itself with a unique rib design and a smoother upper-half texture, providing both a visual and tactile difference from any other PMAG. This helps mitigate the potential for dangerous cross-loading issues.
